KIOCL has signed an agreement with Karnataka government for mineral exploration in nine manganese and iron ore blocks in Bellary and Chitradurga districts of the state. The company will be investing around ₹ 81.53 crore towards royalty fees in phases.
It may be noted that, the company has 3.5 million tonne per annum (MTPA) iron-oxide pellet plant to manufacture pig iron at Mangaluru, Karnataka.
