Ambey Metallics is planning to expand its steel plant in Pissurlem Industrial Estate in Goa. The project involves expanding steel production capacity from 36,000 tpa to 0.1 million tpa. The project involves setting up of DRI Plant – 2 x 120 TPD (Sponge Iron-86,500 TPA), Iron Ore Washing & Beneficiary Plant– 50 TPH (Iron Ore-2,50,000 TPA), Captive Power plant 12 MW (WHRB: 4.5 MW & AFBC: 7.5 MW), Induction Furnace- 2 x 15 MT (Billets- 1,20,000 TPA), Rolling Mill1,20,000 TPA (TMT Bars, Angle, Channel etc., 1,20,000 TPA), Brick Manufacturing plant- 45,000 cum/annum. The project cost is estimated at ₹ 1,980 million.
