Tata Steel is planning to set up an greenfield steel project in Ludhiana in Punjab. The company will set up a scrap based steel production plant with Electric Arc Furnace and will have a production capacity of 0.75 million tpa. In June 2022, the Punjab government has allotted 115 acres of land for the project near Hi Tech Valley Park.
The project will entail an investment of ₹ 26,000 million.
