VSL is primarily engaged in the manufacture of TMT bars, the installed capacity being 54,000 tons per annum (TPA). The company has backward integrated facilities to manufacture steel ingots and produce sponge iron, with capacities of 60,000 TPA and 30,000 TPA respectively. Its manufacturing facilities are located in Hyderabad (Andhra Pradesh) and it caters primarily to local demand. VSL is currently in the process of setting up a pellet plant and upgrading its transmission line capacity, to save on input costs. Promoted in 1985, the company is presently managed by Mr. Vinod Kedia and his family.
