Trikoot Iron & Steel Casting Limited (Trikoot) was established in 1968 as a partnership firm named Bharat Steels by Mr. Harbans Lal Goel and 15 other partners. It was later renamed as Bharat Steels Rolling in 1991 and the number of partners was reduced to eight. The firm was again renamed as Tehri Girders and it remained a partnership firm, later in 2005 it was constituted as a public limited company named Tehri Girders Limited. The public limited company was finally named Trikoot Iron & Steel Castings Limited in 2008. It was initially engaged in the manufacturing of mild steel ingots and commenced the manufacture of thermo mechanically treated (TMT) bars in March 2008.The bars are used in the construction of multi storied buildings, dams, bridges and houses and their thickness varies from 8mm to 40 mm. It also manufactures structural steel and steel castings. The present company is promoted by Mr. Satish Chand Goel. The company has a current capacity to manufacture 60, 000 MT TMT bars, 25, 000 MT MS Ingots and 18, 000 MT structural steel.
