About the Company :

Jalandhar-based, (Punjab) Sharp Chucks and Machines Private Limited (SCM) was incorporated in 1994 by Mr Ajay Sikka, Mr Goipka Sikka and Mrs Suman Bala. SCM is engaged in the manufacturing of lathe chucks, power chucks, drill chucks, machine tool accessories and auto parts which find applications in varied industries (viz. automotive industries, material handling & earth moving equipment industry, sugar plants, cement plants and tractor industry). In 2008, SCM also diversified into casting business.

The company obtains orders through business relations established from its long track record of its operations. The company sell its products to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) like Mahindra & Mahindra , International Tractors Limited, etc. The main raw material for SCM is pig iron, steel, cast iron scrap and cast iron boring which are mainly procured from dealers located in nearby regions. In FY15 (refers to the period April 1 to March 31), SCM reported a total operating income of Rs.71.39 crore with PAT of Rs.2.35 crore, as against a total operating income of Rs.85.79 crore with PAT of Rs.3.08 crore in FY14. In 9MFY16 (Provisional), the company achieved a total operating income of Rs.54.05 crore.
