About the Company :

Ritesh Tradefin Ltd (RTL) was incorporated in January 1993 as a private limited company by Mr. Shankar Lal Agarwal and his brother, Mr. Naresh Kumar Agarwal, based out of Burdwan (WB). It initially commenced as an investment company dealing in securities. Subsequently in 1999, it shifted to manufacturing of sponge iron (with an initial installed capacity – 15,000 MTPA) and was converted into a public limited company.

In 2001, subsequent to stabilisation of operation, the company expanded the capacity of sponge iron to 30,000 MTPA. Furthermore, the management expanded the facilities in April 2010 and commissioned a re- rolling mill at the same premises for manufacturing angles, channels, shapes, etc, with an installed capacity of 36,000 MTPA. The manufacturing unit of the company is located at Durgapur, West Bengal. Apart from manufacturing, it is also involved in trading activities of iron and steel-related materials (accounting for about 15% of the total operating income in FY13; refers to the period April 01 to March 31).

During FY13, RTL reported a total operating income of Rs.69.9 crore (Rs.61.1 crore in FY12) and PAT of Rs.0.2 crore (Rs.0.1 crore in FY12). Furthermore, as per the provisional 10MFY14, the company achieved a turnover of Rs.58.2 crore
