About the Company :
Modern Insulators Ltd., (MIL), established in 1982 was promoted jointly by Mr. H.S. Ranka of the Modern Group of Industries and Rajasthan State Industrial and Investment Corporation (RIICO) to manufacture Alumina Porcelain Insulators for High Voltage and Extra High Voltage Transmission Lines and electrical equipment in technical collaboration with Siemens, AG, Germany. During FY09, MIL diversified into yarn manufacturing and commenced operations on September 1, 2008. During FY14, yarn division contributed around 41% of the total revenue (39% in FY13). Manufacturing facility for insulators is located in Abu road, Rajasthan with installed capacity of 16,500 MTPA and for yarn is located at Surat with an installed capacity of 25000 MTPA as on March 31, 2014
