IDCOL Kalinga Iron Works Ltd., is a unit of the Industrial Development Corporation of Orissa Ltd., Govt. of Orissa, undertaking incorporated under the company’s act, 1956. IDCOL took over KIW from Kalinga industries on 01-04-1963 and made it autonomous on 01- 04-2002 renaming it as IDCOL Kalinga Iron Works Ltd. It is situated in the midst of richest iron ore and manganese ore deposits of the country in Keonjhar district (Orissa), within the municipal area of Barbil town on the bank of river KARO at an altitude of 1730 feet with temperate climate.
