Gajlaxmi Steel Pvt Ltd was incorporated in the year of 2003 and is engaged in the business of manufacturing of MS Billets from steel scrap and sponge iron, using continuous casting machine. Installed capacity is 45,000 MTPA and the plant is located in Jalna, Maharashtra. Mr. Gopikishan Jajoo and Mrs. Kamladevi Jajjo are the promoters of the company holding 50%, 28% and 22% shares in the company respectively. The main directors of the company are Mr. Gopikishan Jajoo and Mr. Anoop Jajoo and Mr. Laxminiwas Mallawat. The company procures sponge iron from Chhattisgarh, Orissa, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh at market price and steel scrap is purchased from local market through auctions. Finished product is sold to customers based in Mumbai, Wardha, Nashik and Nagpur through brokers/agent.
As a means of expansion and forward integration from Billets to TMT Bars GSPL is proposing to set up an additional Billet Plant with an installed capacity of 54,000 MTPA and a Hot Rolling Mill of installed capacity 90,000 MTPA. The total project cost is estimated at Rs. 37.53 cr which is proposed to be funded by a Term Loan of Rs. 25.00 cr and Equity of Rs. 12.53 cr. GSPL has started the construction for the proposed and competed the same in 2017.
