BMMIL was incorporated in 2002. The company was merged with its 100% subsidiary H K T Mining Private Limited (HKTMPL) during 2008-09. The company’s current facilities include sponge iron (0.66 mtpa), pellets (2.4 mtpa), beneficiation (2.6 mtpa), billets (0.1 mtpa), TMT bars (0.1 mtpa) and power (95 MW). BMMIL is currently implementing a 140 MW thermal power plant and 1.25 mtpa integrated steel plant in Danapur Village, Hospet Taluk, Bellary district of Karnataka.
