Incorporated in 2003, BFMPL is a part of the Bhagwati group of companies promoted by Mr. M.K. Agarwal and his family. The company is engaged in the manufacture of TMT bars with its manufacturing facility being located at Athal, Silvassa, where it has an installed capacity of 96,000 MTPA. In February 2012, BFMPL also started commercial production of mild steel (MS) billets at its second manufacturing unit at Sinnar, near Nashik, Maharashtra with an installed capacity of 150,000 MTPA. The company sells TMT bars mainly to direct consumers like construction and infrastructure companies and also to traders in Silvassa, Gujarat and Maharashtra, while MS billets are sold to customers around Nashik and other parts of Maharashtra.
