Godawari Power & Ispat Ltd. (GPIL) a public Ltd. Co., formally Ispat Godawari Ltd (IGL), belonging to HIRA Group of Industries, Raipur, was incorporated in 1999.
The company had set up an integrated steel plant with captive power generation under the guidance of visionary leadership of Shri B. L. Agrawal, Managing Director.
As on March 31, 2014, GPIL had capacities of 1,800,000 tpa of pellets (1,200,000 tpa started commercial operations in September 2013), 495,000 tonnes per annum (tpa) of sponge iron, 400,000 tpa of steel billets, 100,000 tpa of MS Round Coil and 150,000 tpa of HB wire
