Vision Sponge Iron Pvt Ltd was incorporated in 2002, by the Jhunjhunwala family, based in Kolkata. The Company is engaged in manufacturing of sponge iron, ingots/billets and Ferro alloys. The installed capacity of the units are 1, 20,000 MT per annum. Inspite of increase in capacities, the utilization levels have been low in the past. With gradual stabilization of capacities, the company has achieved an average utilization of 62% between April-December 2013. The company manufactures Sponge Iron, M. S. Billets and Ferro alloys. Capacity utilization has been by and large satisfactory.. VSIPL has a production capacity of 120,000 MTPA for Sponge iron, 100,000 MTPA for MS Billet 9,000 MTPA for Ferro Alloy. It also has a 15 MW Power Plant.
