Titagarh Steels Ltd.(TSL) formerly the Titagarh Industries Ltd. was incorporated on August 17, 1981 started by taking over the Steel Foundry Division of Britannia Engineering Company Limited (in liquidation). Post modernization of the facilities TSL commenced commercial production with initial capacity of 4800 M.T. per annum which was soon enhanced to 15000 M.T. TSL owns a modern steel foundry spread over 9.16 Acres of land situated at Titagarh, District North 24 Parganas in the State of West Bengal strategically located about 20 K.M. from the city of Kolkata.
