Incorporated in 2008 as a private limited company, Srivari Alloys India Private Limited was started by Mr Babu and his family members at Coimbatore. The company manufactures and sells mild steel (MS) ingots. The company has a manufacturing unit with one set furnace of 8 tonnes capacity at Coimbatore to facilitate pouring 8-10 heats per day. The company has an installed capacity of 36000 metric tonnes per annum to produce MS ingots and has produced 10139 metric tonnes in FY13. The company supplies 40 per cent of MS Ingots to its associate concern Rudra Steel Rolling Mill for its captive consumption where MS ingots were used as raw materials for manufacturing of TMT bars. Key raw material for the company is MS Scrap and is sourced from industrial areas in nearby vicinity; the company also imports scrap through scrap dealers.
