JMP was established as a partnership concern, by the name JMP Manufacturing Company, in the year 1962. The name of the firm was later rechristened to JMP Industries in December 2011. The firm has four partners, namely, Mr Balraj Kapoor (Managing Partner; holding 30% stake), Mr Balram Kapoor (30%), Mr Jatinder Kapoor (30%) and JMP Manufacturing Company P Ltd (10%). JMP is engaged in the business of casting and machining of auto parts for Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) engaged majorly in the manufacturing of Commercial Vehicle, Tractors and Earthmoving Vehicles segments. The firm has its manufacturing facilities in Jalandhar (Punjab) with 12,000 MTPA installed forging capacity as on March 31, 2015
