Alaknanda Balmukund Ispat is planning to expand its steel plant in Gourandi Village, Bankura District of West Bengal. The project involves setting up of a DRI Plant (2 x 250 tpd), Induction Furnace units with LRF and CCM (6×15 T)(97,000 tpa), rolling mill plant (68,000 tpa), captive power plant of (22 MW WHRB)(10 MW AFBC), a ferro alloy plant of 64,800 tpa. The project cost is estimated at ₹ 825 million.
As of September 2024, the project is in planning stage.
