Mahendra Sponge & Power Ltd is planning to expand its steel plant in Sarora & Parsada, Tehsil – Tilda, District – Raipur in Chhattisgarh. The project involves setting up of new direct sponge iron production facilities (2,31,000 tpa), new induction furnaces (1,00,000 tpa), a waste heat recovery plant of 22.0 MW.
The project cost is estimated at ₹ 3250 million.
