Hindalco Industries Ltd, a Aditya Birla group company is planning to set up an extrusion plant in Silvassa in Dadra Nagar & Haveli Teritory. The project involves setting up of a production facility with a capacity of 34000 tonnes with an investment of ₹ 7300 million. It will be a fully automated plant and will serve automotive sector, electrical, consumer and other industrial goods sector.
It may be noted that, currently have two other extrusion plants in Renukoot in Uttar Pradesh and Alupuram in Kerala. The new plant is likely to go operational by the year 2023.
