The new recycling plant will have a capacity of 0.5 million tpa and will be built on BOO (built, own and operate) model. The project cost is estimated at ₹ 1,500 million.

The plant is likely to go operational by the year end. The steel recycling business will help formalize the scrap market in India and help the country transition to a scrap-based steel making route in the long-term.
