Hariaksh Industries Pvt Ltd is planning to set up a ferro alloy plant in Chausal in Gangajalghati in Bankura district of West Bengal. The project involves setting up of 2 x 9 MVA submerged arc furnace and 2 x 4.5 MVA electric arc furnace with an investment of ₹ 960 million. Land required for the project is already available.
The required raw materials like Manganese Ore, Chrome Ore, Coke, Steam Coal, Quartz, Dolomite, Lime, Ferro Manganese Slag, Mill Scale, Iron Scrap will be purchased locally. As of April 2019, the project is in planning stage.
