API Ispat & Powertech is planning to expand its steel plant in Siltara village in Raipur district of Chhattisgarh. The project involves setting up of a new iron ore beneficiation plant of 2×1000 tpd, gasifier plant 14, 250 cu.meter per hour, addition of 3 x 15 T induction furnace in steel melt shop, electric arc furnace of 2 x 20 T (1,20,000 tpa), a rolling mill with a capacity of 200,000 tpa, ferro alloys plant (12,600 tpa of ferro silicion and 28,400 tpa of silico manganese ).
Land required for the plant is already available. The project cost is estimated at ₹ 2,400 million. As of December 2018, the project is in planning stage.
