Utkal Alumina International Ltd, a subsidiary of Hindalco is planning to expand its alumina refinery in Doraguda in Kashipur Tehsil in Rayagada district of Odisha. The project involves expanding line 1 & 2 capacity from 0.75 mtpa to 1.0 mtpa and cogeneration power plant capacity from 90 MW to 150 MW by adding 2 x 30 MW units. Land required for the project has been acquired. The project cost is estimated at Rs. 54,320 million.
