Baba Akhila Sai Jyothi Industries is planning to expand its sponge iron plant in Chikkabaganal in Kerikihalli Post in Koppal district of Karnataka. The project involves expanding sponge iron production capacity from 175 tpd to 375 tpd, (setting up of 1 x 20 T induction furnace), setting up of rolling mill plant of 72000 tpa, captive power generation plant of 12 MW (WHRB 6 MW, AFBC 6 MW).
As of April 2019, the project is in planning stage.
